Oliver Jaberg obtained his legal qualifications in 2004 from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland, and was admitted to the bar (Switzerland) in 2007.
In 2008, he joined FIFA and acted as Legal Counsel and Senior Group Leader in the Players’ Status Department of FIFA (international transfer disputes, intermediaries etc.) until the end of June 2010. He was then appointed Head of the FIFA Disciplinary & Governance Department in July 2010 (in particular secretariat to FIFA’s judicial bodies (Disciplinary, Ethics and Appeal Committees) and, subsequently in March 2011, Head of the Corporate Legal Department at FIFA. In this capacity, he was responsible, amongst others, for legal governance and compliance, litigation and general corporate legal matters. In September 2016, Oliver was appointed Director of Integrity & Institutional Legal. In this position, he oversaw all integrity and institutional legal matters and has also been supervising internal investigations as well as litigation before ordinary courts and arbitration tribunals, both nationally and internationally, including civil and criminal matters. In June 2020, he was appointed Director of Integrity & Anti-Doping and currently oversees all of FIFA’s activities in the fields of integrity and anti-doping. In addition, Oliver was appointed Deputy Chief Legal & Compliance Officer of FIFA in October 2019.
Oliver also regularly lectures at different universities and institutions of higher education in Switzerland and abroad, speaks at national and international conferences and publishes on topics concerning his fields of expertise.
