Dr. Bettina Palazzo
Bettina has been researching, teaching and consulting in business ethics for over 25 years.
As a pioneer in the field, she helped build the business ethics practice at KPMG Germany in the 90ies. Since then, she worked with companies from automotive to pharmaceuticals and telecommunications and with non-profits like UN organizations, hospitals, and NGO’s.
Bettina is especially interested in the gray zones of ethical decision-making and the psychological dynamics that lead to unethical behavior. Since 2016 she has worked intensively on concepts for the development of ethical leadership, speak-up culture and the prevention of sexual haressment.
To prepare future leaders for the new world of responsible business, Bettina teaches a course in “Business & Society” at the University of Geneva.
Fun fact: Bettina met her husband, the business ethicist Guido Palazzo, on a business ethics conference.
